| What American accent do you have? Your Result: North Central "North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Honest and a defender of the innocent. You sometimes make mistakes in judgment but you are generally good and would protect your crew from harm.

40% Reaver too. So I guess instead of a nice chianti and fava beans, I settle for a case of Molson, and beans and franks. |

I'm experimenting with the Jabber interface for LJ, which is how this entry was posted (but not edited). FAQ here, thanks da_lj. Something else to thank da_lj for. Because of his recent post, I now have the stupid Katamari theme song stuck in my head. :-P |

In honour of the day, (thanks to lizcase for the link),
My pirate name is: Mad Morty Cash Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You're musical, and you've got a certain style if not flair. You'll do just fine. Arr! Get your own pirate name from piratequiz.com.part of the fidius.org network
I had to look up the definition of swash. It's a lovely word:

So, not to toot my own horn or anything, but if you're wondering where all my posts are, they're over on my own website, http://trig.net/~chris/blosxom.pl.
If you're feeling lazy, which I often am, you could instead add the syndicated LJ feed elbie_at_trig Update: I should point out that I didn't syndicate my blog. As a non-paying LJ user, I don't think I can. I have da_lj to thank for that, I think. Thanks! |

C...Carbon You scored 32 Mass, 39 Electronegativity, 37 Metal, and 0 Radioactivity! | Nobody understands you... no, not even organic chemists. The social individualist. You like your attention... but not TOO MUCH attention. You are able to form incredibly close relationships with many individuals, but you don't really get along with preexisting groups. You value equality in relationships, and don't deal well with overly submissive or demanding people. Well, whatever... thanks for making life possible... oh, and cut the global warming out. | |
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender: | You scored higher than 26% on Mass | | You scored higher than 76% on Electroneg | | You scored higher than 21% on Metal | | You scored higher than 0% on Radioactivity |

Okay, so I've been wandering around LJ looking about, and paying closer attention to the journals of various folk I know on LJ.
So far, it's pretty cool. It's a decent enough interface, once I figure out what everything does. And there are plenty of little things that are nice touches. For example, if I'm looking at someone's userinfo, names will show up in bold on their friend list if they are also on my friend list.
I was feeling particularly narcissistic, mostly because I didn't show up as bold on my friends' friends lists, so I added myself to my own friend list to see what would happen. By gum, it worked! |
